How-to save / integrate XP update files

Hi.

I've a few questions on downloading, saving, and slipstreaming the XP updates. All help is appreciated...

Firstly, can somebody tell me how to save the update files that the XP Update Manager downloads on your behalf? i.e. when you accept to download updates, where are they saved to?

Secondly, I checked my update.log and it had downloaded different types of files in the past, e.g. loads of psf files, loads of cab files, and a good few .exe files. Which files will I slipstream? I get the impression that it's only the .exe files that get slip streamed, so what about all the other files?

In the beginners guide, the batch file provided would seem to deal only with .exe files

Thirdly, if they're already downloaded and installed, are the files needed for integration still on the hardrive somewhere, or are they removed after installation?
