March 28, 200719 yr Hey guys!My mobo is slowly dying out and have ordered a replacement. The mobo's are almost identical and the RAID controllers are the same: Intel 82801. I have my drives set up in mirror. After changing mobo's, will my array stay the same or will I need to re-set it? Thanks in advance.nitro
March 28, 200719 yr You'll have to set the new array on the new board. I'm not sure if the Intel controller will let you simply call the two existing drives a pre-built mirror, but at worst, you rebuild the one drive from the second.

March 28, 200719 yr Author The cargo company sure moved fast! I got the mobo today and installed it right away. I didn't have to set anything up, it started and entered straight into Windows (which required re-activation, of course). Now I have a pc that's up and running fine
March 30, 200719 yr Author lucky ur using raid1, otherwise you would be f***edBeen there, done that. Ain't gonna use stripe ever!
