Kiki Burgh Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 hi tc/tp! would it be alright for HFSLIP to block ie6 HFs for HF users, say hard code it? was just thinking since it is the main cause for broken installation of ie7? (the same may be true for wmp9 users where HFSLIP may block wmp10 HFs & the same applies for wmp10 and wmp11 users ). thanks!

The "black list" would have to be updated every time new IE hotfixes are released and I'd have to do a long investigation to find all the IE hotfixes which have been released in the past.It's easy for Windows 2000 because there the IE version is always mentioned in the executable's name. But then the user can deal with it too.
