Ghost
I know that alot of this has been talked about before, however with a gathering of information for how to intergrate hot fixes, DX9, WM9, .NET, Drivers and other assorted files into the windows setup would make alot of ppl happy. I don't mean crap like .cmd or svcpak. I mean full on add and replace of the i386 files so that the new files are install and only them.Any one understand this? It would be a much faster setup and much less rubbish would be on the cd so more programs can be applied
DaveXP
yer i understand this just take all the DirectX8 files out of the i386 then do makecab on the DirectX9 files and then replace them in the i386 again that will work.

Ghost
whats the name of the directX file? I didnt see it as a .cab file altogether! And then the hive listings, won't they need to be updated? I guess the only BIG problem I have is that I don't know the names of the files im after. If I can obtain a list then that would be easy enogh. But I also want to add .NET. Though I guess that would be easier then DX and WM as you don't have to find the files to replace. ****, Microsoft had to make it all very difficult now didn't they?
