Jeremy Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 ArticleThis was posted on Digg.com. I read through it and have a basic understanding of what it's implying. Pretty interesting stuff. This stuff fascinates me.
ripken204 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 ya this stuff fascinates me too. there are just so many different theories on time travel. personally i would be strongly against time travel b/c of the unknown. for all that we could know, people have already time traveled into the past. but what if he went to far? and then it turned out that he would have never been born due to something that he did. then he never would have invented a time machine. and we would never have known that time travel existed... kinda confusing. but this guy could change the entire world and none of us would have known it. we could all have lived a billion different lives but again, we wouldnt know...
Zxian Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 There are some pretty bad references in that article. One of the main concepts behind physics is the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which states that on a whole, the entropy of the universe is increasing. That is definitely a process that is NOT time-reversible. Oh... and we already know that time does work both ways. Anti-particles are quite simply the "regular" particles that are traveling backwards in time.
