eyeball Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) Hi all,i have a little project i need some advice on please, someone wants me to setup wireless in their house the only problem is it is 3 floors high and very long, so im thinking of using 1xADSL router (possibly MIMO) and 2xrepeaters (he doesnt want any wires so these have to be repeaters) on the other floors to create a big WLAN all on the same SSIDthe router will have to go on the top floor as the ADSL connection comes in there and the 2 repeaters will have to go one on each floor.can anyone recommend a router and access points that will work together? or does anyone have any pointers?thanks ever so much Edited March 7, 2007 by eyeball
gamehead200 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I think Apple's Airport Express can be used as a repeater (Wireless Distribution System). It runs for about $100 USD.

tain Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Some repeaters can be quite particular as to what packets they can/will repeat. I recommend buying at a local shop so you can return the device if it doesn't work out for you.
