I think MS removed the ability to integrate the final version that way, hence your invalid switch message.

...Try nLite ?

install during runonceex execution.

hey sorry for late reply. i didnt notice or didnt get any notification.

ok, now In your RunOnceEx.cmd, install ie7 using the following command. ur xp must already be activated for this to install.

REG ADD %KEY%060 /VE /D "Installing Internet Explorer 7" /f

REG ADD %KEY%060 /V 1 /D "%CDP%\KB\IE7-Setup.exe /passive /update-no /no-default /norestart" /f

I dont want to install IE7 through the runonceEX command, i tried the addon pack for IE7 from the RyanVM site, but i have problems with it. It installs good, but when i have a fresh install and a user here tries to login, he cannot start IE7, cause it just shuts down.

When i login as Administrator and after that the user logs in again it works, but still not properly, cause even though i have a HomePage policy running it still goes to a "about:blank" site.

So is it possible to run the microsoft ie7 installer with switches to install through SVCPACK?

i suppose windows installation must be validated for ie7 to install. this eliminates the way of installing through svcpack. only after the first login, windows could be validated.
