I am wanting to use the IR port on my laptop to control my TV among other things. Does anyone know of any software that would allow me to do something like this? I have searched google, but was unable to find anything....

I forget but there has been there is Win remote or was it Win mote I think. I saw a demonstration and downloaded the required software earlier this year last year.

This guy put it up on Youtube showing how you can use the WiiMote as a mouse.
