ButchN Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I have an HP dv9225 with Ultimate 64 bit.I'm pretty PC knowledgeable yet no matter what I do my notebook has insomnia. Nothing is set to wake the computer yet when I press sleep it goes through the motions & when it shuts down, it does it only for a split second then fires right back up.When the computer goes to sleep according to the power plan settings it also does the same thing mentioned above. So anyone have a clue as to why it's doing this? Thanks.
spacesurfer Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Awesome!!! Finally my computer can sleep. I've been trying to figure this out all this time.I just disabled "Allow this device to wake the computer" and it works. It is found in Device Manager --> Right click your keyboard --> Properties --> Power Management tab --> uncheck "Allow this device..."Do this for both Keyboard and Mouse.Although only my mouse is wireless, I had to do it for the keyboard too to get it to work.
