I can't reach WindowsUpdate site, I got a "Administrators Only" message, I've tried http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316524 and it won't work, i'm desperate, can an1 help please.

This would mean that you do not have administrator rights on your PC. Login to an account that has administrator rights.

it may be that someone has disabled all access to it in the group policy editor. U can get to it from tweakui if u have it installed, if not use the admin tools in control panel and hit group policy editor check the windows update settings there hope this helps

nah, nothing to modify in group policy editor, i have no windowsupdate options om gpedit.msc

its in gpedit.msc under User config/Admin templates/system and its also under User config/Admin templates/Windows Components/Windows Update
