An unattend file is NOT what I want as it hinders being able to do things like format within text mode setup and always detects a Windows folder even if the hard disk is RAW (unformatted).You're actually incorrect with your first statement. Windows XP Unattended install allows you to complete the first part of the text installer manually.[Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes"By using that, you are telling it to not auto-partition, thus, you can choose which disk to install to (as well as muck around with the partitions).
