Tomalak Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Hello, just a quick question: I guess it's not necessary to download and include the new timezone update KB931836 (replaces both KB928388 und KB929120) as the appropriate changes will again be directly incorporated into hfslip, right? Maybe in one of the next test versions...http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931836/en-ushttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...a9-ef9061a9a3ca Kind regards,Tomalak
Super-Magician Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) KB928388 is still required, so I assume you would need this new update in HF if you want to incorporate whatever changes were made. I'd be interested to find out what the actual changes are! Edited February 8, 2007 by Super-Magician
Tomcat76 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Funny... When I tested it, Windows Update complained about KB929120, not KB928388.Either way, the new update is cumulative so the latest test release of HFSLIP uses a registry hack to keep Windows Update quiet about KB929120. Looking clean to me....
Kiki Burgh Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 (edited) hi! does this mean that we still have to put both KB928388 & KB929120 even if KB931836 in HF? thanks! EDIT:ha! ha! i found it a little late Download hfslip-70208aChanges:- support for new time zone update KB931836 if placed in HF (errors are corrected)- KB929120 executable is blocked if present in HF- registry hack to stop Windows Update from complaining about KB929120 not being installed (KB931836 is cumulative for god's sake)- if MS release a new time zone update in the future, you can use HFANSWER.INI to let HFSLIP know that you are including a newer time zone update (2)**** Edited February 10, 2007 by Kiki Burgh
