rado354
I'm testing it right now, if everything is OK the addon will be released soon. There are quite a few hash checkers available around. I'm not sure this is the best one. Edited March 16, 2009 by rado354
Kees030
I'm open for suggestions on better ones. This is how I use it now, when I want to download a file:1. copy the MD5 provided to the clipboard;2. download the file;3. right click on the downloaded file4. click on Calculate hash, MD55. HashOnCLick reports if the hash matches the one on the clipboard. If you know about a hash checker that can do ithe checking in less steps, please advise

Kees030
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried it. Imho it's more difficult / less easy to check wheter a downloaded file matches the MD5 given.
code65536
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried it. Imho it's more difficult / less easy to check wheter a downloaded file matches the MD5 given.1. Copy the MD5 provided to the clipboard2. Download the file3. Right-click on the downloaded file and select Properties4. Click on Checksums tab5. Paste the hash into the Find box; if it matches, the hash will be highlighted, and if it doesn't, it will tell you that it can't find the stringSame number of steps. Okay, so there's an extra click and a paste, but you get a lot more flexibility and functionality with HashCheck, like being able to create and open .sfv/.md5 files. And as a bonus, it's much faster and smaller, too. Edited March 18, 2009 by code65536
Kees030
Maybe it's because I'm used to it, or because tastes are personal I still hope Rado354 will release the updated HashOnClick V2.2.1.
