Static_Nexus Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 hi!after using nlite i spotted this in my device manager, installing the Intel inf utility didn't fix it which is odd since it never had this problem before...any ideas?

It's propably the ACPI device.ok that was weird... im doing a lot of fiddling so im reseting every now and then... after a few resets it seems to have just vanished.... ok well that means all my problems for now are gone! so this thread is done for me, thanks for your help everyone you all saved me more hassle than you know.
nuhi Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Just in case: That could have been COM/Serial Port or Firewire controller if removed in Hardware Support.Just turn them off in BIOS too and it won't be listed.
Static_Nexus Posted January 25, 2007 Author Posted January 25, 2007 i left the drivers n hardware sections well alone incase something like this happened. once ive finished doing my new xp DVD i was going to test it on virtual pc to test it.btw does anyone know where this "Quick Launch" add-on is? the one that makes the quick launch always on during windows installation?
