anj
hi every1, i was wondering if anybody has any links for win 98 se on rapidshare, i desperatley require it, or possibly there is an alternative to what i am trying to achive... i hav recently bought a 80GB HD i want to format it to FAT32 but XP wont allow me. i was thinking of taking my current HD out and replacing it with my new HD and using the win98 disk i could format it to FAT32, do you think this would work? or is there is an alternative procedure i could use. if not could somebody put me in the right direction of obtaining win98 SE disk. thank you for reading this ANJ
glocK_94
We don't supply this kind of link here... Why would you need 98 anyway if you don't plan using it? If you just want to format/convert a NTFS partition to FAT32, any good disk utility will do. You can even use XP's tool for that.Check here: http://www.ehow.com/how_6026_format-hard-drive.html

DeadDude
is the problem in the XP installer not allowing FAT32? Or what?bootdisks.org has bootdisks for every MS OS... download MEs or 98SEs to get an FDISK that can do it properly.... oh yeah, you also need to run FDISK first!!!! AND REBOOT AFTER FDISK BEFORE FORMATTING!!!!
E-66
Why don't you just use fdisk? Isn't that what you used in the past when you formatted a drive prior to installing Win9x?
