If your asking can the usb replace the cd/dvd for booting / replacing the cd, then yes. I'm not real sure on your question. Are you asking if Vista can run from the usb hd vs. your pc hd?
AnyWay Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 Yes i'd like to boot (and use) Vista from my HD USB, i did it in XP (there are many tutorials) making a new CD and i'd like to do it with Vista also! Thanks
martingriffis Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Perhaps installing vista to a usb flash drive would be the same procedure as installing xp?
Dobby Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 what I'm looking into at the moment is a base DVD created by vLite then custom settings and applications on USB. It seems possible with the Autounattend.xml file. I'm just about to try to get applications to install now.
