amorf Posted January 13, 2007 Share Posted January 13, 2007 Hello guys..i have a pc and a laptop and they are both connected on a switch.The pc has windows pro and the laptop has Home edition windows. I get a strange problem when i try to access from local network my laptop. The error message says "Logon failure. Τhe user has not granted the requested logon type at this computer."I have everything shared as it should be, none of the computers has a firewall software installed. Also i can normaly access from the laptop the Pro machine. Ping works from both of them normaly.. also i tried to enable guest account on both of them bus still it's not working..Any ideas ? cause i really don't what is going wrong :wacko: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ringfinger Posted January 19, 2007 Share Posted January 19, 2007 If simply trying to access a share, be sure all your users are setup correctly with the correct rights on the share. Be sure the server & workstation services are running on both machines. Check your SP2 firewall as well if using XP SP2. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
