zedox Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 The option to minimize Media Player 11 is missing from the toolbars menu on the taskbar.Posted here as I slipstreamed Media Player 11 using HFSLIP.
Tomcat76 Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Not sure what you're referring to here.On a non-slipstreamed install (WMP11 installed "normally"), I have these options when right-clicking the taskbar:Toolbars >Cascade windowsTile windows horizontallyTile windows verticallyShow DesktopTask ManagerLock taskbarPropertiesAnd it's the same on a slipstreamed install. The only thing I found was "Windows Media Player" in the "Toolbars" submenu of the menu you get when right-clicking the taskbar. If I tick that, it will cause WMP11 to minimize to the taskbar mini player if the WMP11 minimize button is clicked. This is also the case on the slipstreamed install.
Super-Magician Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 You have to minimize WMP to the mini player at least once before that option appears in your taskbar context menu.
zedox Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 ok, i've tried that.. still isn't appearing on the menu.I tested slipstreaming ONLY wmp11 to my source. The option did appear, I'm assuming another hotfix or something else is effecting the menu.
Tomalak Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I tested slipstreaming ONLY wmp11 to my source. The option did appear, I'm assuming another hotfix or something else is effecting the menu.Same here. WMP11 and all relevant hotfixes - at least one of them breaks miniplayer functionality.Kind regards,Tomalak
Tomcat76 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Strange. I still have the default taskbar context menu after having used the taskbar player several times on a system where WMP11 was installed normally...
Super-Magician Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 The taskbar option also works perfectly for me on a WMP11 slipstreamed install. Is your Windows activated properly?
Tomalak Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Is your Windows activated properly? It is, of course.I do not have the log file anymore which lists all the patches used, but if the problem still exists after my next try (maybe next week, maybe later - may take some time) I'll report it here. Note that I have used one of the test versions (latest installation is from mid of the previous week), the problem may have gone with one of the later versions or the new 1.2.2 final.Regards,Tomalak
