WPI 5.3 --> 5.6 Upgrade

Can someone please advise on the correct way to upgrade to the newer version. I keep breaking my existing config whenever I to upgrade.

All you have todo is copy your current config.js file and reprogram your options...

Sorry for noob type question, what do you mean reprogram your options.

I have copied over config.js file and when I run WPI, the screen has no programs listed.....when I try configure option, there are no programs listed.

Can you pls elaborate for us newer guys.

WOW ummmmm.... and it is named just config.js right? Reprogram your options means go into options and reset all of them.

Hi,

I dont know if this the correct way to do things but, I opened config.js file from version 5.3 and cut all the program scripts and pasted them into the config.js from version 5.6.

When I ran WPI ver 5.6 they all magically appeared, but they need to be edited for the correct paths.........is this what you mean or is this also another way of doing the necessary.................beats typing everything out again anyways

All of your paths should be the same way from 5.3 to 5.6
