thank you myselfidem for your quick reply, I have already downloaded the files that you stated but I want to use the 8.0.1 versions and there must be a member who has a virus-free RUNWPI.exe copy, even when I exclude NIS 360 from scanning the file it is still blocked and deleted??? can version 8.0.1 be used for xp and win 7??

Hi everyone, I have downloaded WPI 8.1.0 and tried to use it on my XP Pro Installation and everytime I download the $OEM$ folder from the WPI website, it is being treated as a virus by Norton and is automatically deleted, can someone pls help me with a good copy of these files, thanks

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me with this simple batch file. I want to load this batch file at t-12 during an unattended install and customise the install for a specific user & organisation. This will mean that I can use this disk on multiple install, if necessary. the batch file includes @echo off SET /P PCOWNER=Please Registered Owners name: REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windowsNT\currentversion /v RegisteredOwner /t REG_SZ /d %PCOWNER%/f echo %PCOWNER% PAUSE Eachtime I test this batch file, it says successfully installed but the system properties show the original registered Owner, even after re-booting. I am sure I am making an obvious and simple mistake................please help

Hi, I dont know if this the correct way to do things but, I opened config.js file from version 5.3 and cut all the program scripts and pasted them into the config.js from version 5.6. When I ran WPI ver 5.6 they all magically appeared, but they need to be edited for the correct paths.........is this what you mean or is this also another way of doing the necessary.................beats typing everything out again anyways

Hi, Kelsenellenelvian Sorry for noob type question, what do you mean reprogram your options. I have copied over config.js file and when I run WPI, the screen has no programs listed.....when I try configure option, there are no programs listed. Can you pls elaborate for us newer guys. thanks

Thanks Laze. I have added the cmd & reg file in C:\xpcd\$OEM$\$Docs\All Users\Start Menu, I think this is what you mean?

Hi, Sorry if this has been explained before but this is only my second post. Could someone pls help, I want to run a reg file eachtime my system (winxp) bootsup, I have made my first unattended disk using WPI and I want to add a reg file from \$OEM$\$1 to run eachtime the system is rebooted. thanks

Hey All, hope you are all well and perservering with your personal trials and tribulations. I found this web site by accident when I was trying to find a way of intergrating/slipstreaming winxp so I dont have to load all my programs from the start each time I formatted...............and I'm hooked. I must have spent 100's of hours now learning and trying different things out. I consider myself still at the learner stage but am willing to help and listen and learn. Bye for now
