I'm getting:

Could not create this file.

upon installation of a program...

how can I solve this?

folder: C:\Program Files\<app folder>

files: a lot of them...

I've tried skipping those files & i can see they are mostly: exe, bat, dll, msi...

so it was a permission problem.

I ran the installation file as Administrator & it worked...

BUT I'm the Administrator...!

should i set any extra permissions for myself??

(sorry for the uppercase & signs... it's a frustration gesture)

Well in Windows Vista, you're not an administrator in true sense of the word, like you were in WindowsXP. Due to Vista security your accout actually behaves like a users account...

the funny thing is that this problem never occured on other application installations, only with this one...

Next time you have this happen or have another error during installation you can hit "Shift + F10" which will bring up a command prompt and you can then browse to the logs and find where the problem is happening.
