Looking for a few reg tweaks.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am looking for some tweaks to make a few settings via registry.

I have found most and put them to my reg file and security template.

If anyone knows, how to set up following things, please post it in here.

-> User Account Picture (location in registry)

-> Desktop
--> View
---> Classic Icons

-> Desktop
--> Show Computer Icon

-> Desktop
--> AutoArrange

~> Explorer
~~> View
~~> List

~~~> Organize
~~~~> Layout
~~~~~> Details
~~~~> Folder And Search Options
~~~~~> View
~~~~~~> Apply To Folders

-> Visuall Effects
--> Performance
---> Uncheck All

~> Power Options
~~> Change Plan Settings
~~~> Change Advanced Power Settings
~~~~> Additional Settings
~~~~~> Require Password On WakeUp: "No"
~~~~> Hard Disk
~~~~~> Turn Off Hard Disk After: "5 minutes"
~~~~> Power Buttons And Lid
~~~~~> Power Button Action: "Do Nothing"
~~~~~> Start Menu Power Button: "Shut Down"

~> Programs And Features
~~> Turn Windows Features On Or Off
~~~> Uncheck All
~> Sound
~~> Speakers
~~~> Properties
~~~~> Levels
~~~~~> Disable All Except Main and Volume.

~> Taskbar And Start Menu Properties
~~> Notification Area
~~~> Uncheck All (including Hide Inactive Icons) Except Clock
-> Internet Explorer (only IE setting, that I have never found)
--> History
--> By Order Visited Today
A few visual effects can be disabled via registry, but most can not.
I was never able to disable them all until I found nLite, which could.
But I use vLite now and there are not many tweaks yet. Please help.
bit late and not a registry tweak but may help..
If you have setup your power settings how you want them you can run "POWERCFG -GETACTIVESCHEME" to get schemes guid.
POWERCFG -SETACTIVE <GUID> to set your scheme..
You can also set PreferredPlan = GUID in unattend.xml
:)
