December 23, 200619 yr Author Thats strange, is the "Pin to Start Menu" option still on the right click context menu? Assuming its XP I mean.no its not..its like the entire pinning anything to startmenu is disabled...however recently used program icons show as normal but i prefer to keep that off and just have static icons there of my choosinganother odd note, i loaded up my previous session.ini with nlite and i noticed a few things i checked under removal section are now unchecked, i'm not sure if nlite didnt see those in my session or if somehow its automatically unchecking those somewhere during the processany ideas or help would be appreciated, i'd really like to figure out some of these odd happenings if their bugs or something that i'm doinganother odd thing was my pics and music folders completely vanished even though i cant find any settings that might do that...i think it was from checking display as menu?
August 27, 200916 yr just googled for this problem and this thread came at top.I'm having this exact same problem. It is something I tweaked in nlite. Is there any way to reverse/fix this as I can't cope without my shortcuts pinned to the right-pane of my start menu!
August 27, 200916 yr I`m not really sure, but I think you can correct it with this Regtweak:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00;Startmenü Keine 'Persönlich angepassten Menüs' verwenden[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]"IntelliMenus"=dword:00000000;Startmenü Entfernt Liste der häufig verwendeten Programme aus dem Startmenü[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]"NoRecentDocsHistory"=dword:00000001Don`t worry about the german descriptions.
August 27, 200916 yr wow thanks for the fast repy my german friend.Unfortunately it did not solve the isssue I'm going to make another nlite disk later today and I'll be sure not to be so over zeleous when it comes to the tweaking part Does anyone know any good nlite guides focused on minimal/tiny XP disks?
