K-Lite Codec Pack

Hi all:

When I'm installing K-Lite Codec Pack, I do choose Custom install each time, but there are several choices I do not know what is the differences for each one

or I should choose profile 4 : Lots of stuff and it will be more then enough?

What is your experiences with this tool?

I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (Normal codec pack + quictime alternative and realtime).

Its a great tool. If you install the custom installation you have enough for the normal using.

Don't install tools, its for the most people unneeded.

What i like most on K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is there very great unattended support.

Run:

INSTALLERFILENAME -MakeUnattended (Chose all options that you want)

If you have clicked on finish you have 2 files: klmcp.bat and klmcp.ini

Now you run the bat (+ batchrunner) and you have your own silent install

Just one thing, the install maker asks to select a destination folder. I have 3 drives, and I would install K-Lite on the F:\ drive. If I've chosen to install in the C:\Programs\K-Lite folder would it install properly or would it really install on the C:\ drive?

@andregcasal, K-lite will install to where you select but if you select F:\ drive your drives will need to be mapped out correctly. I would just install to C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack

If you try to extract the exe with innounp it asks for a password, that is the one that is being requested.
