wfunction
Hi, guys. Please tell me if this helps any of you having trouble with Vista installing a device - I had this problem, too, but I solved it (a little dirty, though):The Problem: Vista has the drivers for a device, but reports absolutely none when the device is plugged in for the first time; Add Hardware reports little or no drivers in the All Devices section. The Solution: Copy \Windows\inf to some other folder, preferable outside that of Windows. Then, when searching for the driver, Have Disk to that folder\inf ... tell me if it works. For some (probably messed up permissions) reason, my Vista RC2 had this problem - I had a lot more problems, so I reinstalled and everything is fine.
