Drivers

:hello: What happens if I take out all the drivers that came with Windows XP, and then use nlite to put in my drivers in ? Will Windows XP accept this? John

I think it would work just fine, as long as you don't remove the base part of the OS that it relies on for the driver.

I've been thinking of trying this. Maybe this weekend coming up.

Removing drivers, harmless, well maybe not only for printers, some use parts from bundled drivers.

But don't mix up Hardware Support section with drivers, this one is dangerous.

For me I'm always remove all drivers, like this:

I never found any problem.

I'd like to suggest you using Driver Genius to make a copy of all your drivers, then integrate it later on, or just use bashrate drivers packs after done with nLite.

MGadAllah, just a tiny note...you can copy-paste just [Components] section from the preset you used in nlite\presets folder, no need to do screenshot of the list.

you can choose to remove all of them by tick the box next to drivers, or choose the exact drivers group you want to remove by tick next to the group you want to remove.
