DirectX 9.0c

Featured Replies

I just installed DirectX 9.0c on my fresh Windows XP Pro SP1 install. Before I installed it, I had the Vista Codec Pack installed and my videos were playing, but they were laggy.

I installed Direct 9.0c, and played the videos, the quality was perfect, but it was in black and white.

The hardware acceleration was on high. I turned it down and the bottom three settings worked in color, but with terrible quality and past that was the good quality with black and white.

Is there any way to fix this?

Maybe if you used SP2 which has DX9.0c built-in. :P

Also, FYI in case you did not know, Windows XP Service Pack 1 is no longer supported by Microsoft (i.e. no more security updates)..
