zmtor Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) I use hfslip with w2k sp4 (rus) and have one problem: hfslipwu.inf not started - some removed services try start and give error on win boot.I try search 'hfslipwu' in SOURCESS dir, but have it only in two times: DOSNET.INF (d1,HFSLIPWU.INF) and TXTSETUP.SIF (HFSLIPWU.INF = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0). Where hfslipwu.inf should start?123.zip Edited December 9, 2006 by zmtor
Tomcat76 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 It should be initiated by SYSOC.INF... somewhere after the mini-wizard in which you enter your product key, I think.I'm not the expert here when it comes to stripping down Windows. Hopefully TommyP or FDV will be able to tell what's wrong.Something may have gotten wrong in the lines that precede the one that calls HFSLIPWU.INF. I believe HFSLIP is stripping them out as needed when using HFCLEANUP.
tommyp Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Tomcat is correct. Please post your sysoc.inf or sysoc.in_ file.
zmtor Posted December 10, 2006 Author Posted December 10, 2006 (edited) sysos.inf have hfslipwu.infSorry, i think totalcmd can unpak file.in_ like other archives when search in it.I try manual install hfslipwu.inf (from explorer context menu) but register not changed.I replace [WinUpdate] to [DefaultInstall] and try again: it give some errors but it work, i see HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HFSLIPTotalSlipstreamI also try install win with this replace, but it still not work.sourcess_SYSOC.INFsource_sysoc.inf Edited December 10, 2006 by zmtor
Tomcat76 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 @TommyPIs the code in the HFCLEANUP section capable of editing Unicode versions of SYSOC.INF?
tommyp Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The hfslip/hfcleanup does not handle unicode.
zmtor Posted December 10, 2006 Author Posted December 10, 2006 My sourcess/sysos.inf wrong? How can i fix it?
