MrPatate Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Hi,A newbie need a little help... I feel pretty stupid to ask, but just to be sureIn the Option panel / MISC / "Press Any Key" boot message, by default is enabled, which is logic since most people want it (i suppose so), but in the info bar at the bottom it says : "Use this to make you boot cd without displaying the press any key message"So here's the stupid question of a guy that's totally tired at 4h AM.. If i leave it enabled, will it show or not the stupid any key message, logicaly yes because it's enabled.. but with what it says at the bottom, it's the opposite if it's enabled it wont...i'm a bit confused...thxmat
MrPatate Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 C'mon.. 10views and no one answered... Please help the idiots of this world (a.k.a ME!)
neo Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I have noticed that thr msg Press any key to boot from CD is displayed when we have any windows nt version (either windows is in running condition or not)when we try to install in New HDD it is not displayed.then why are u worry???Just live it as default.
MrPatate Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 because the installation is gonna be unattended, so when the computer reboot itself and needs to start on the hd, if i'm not infront of my computer, than it will go on the cd... and i dont want that...Does anyone knows which choice is the correct one to have the message shown.. because the 2 indication seperatly are clear and logic... but together, may be i'm the only one, but i'm confused :|...
Ponch Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 'Press Any Key...' boot message. Enable/Disable ... I'm decoding here,means... surprise surprise.... that you enable or disable the 'Press Any Key" boot message.'Use this'... means 'You may want to change something to the Microsoft default setting here', means change the default ('Enable') to 'Disable' if you want to disable the message. the 2 indication seperatly are clear and logic... but together, may be i'm the only one, but i'm confusedYou have no excuse.
MrPatate Posted December 10, 2006 Author Posted December 10, 2006 yeah i know ... but i still maintain it's confusing with the bottom message... you know.. for idiots..
