Windows media player 11 issue

I've been trying to install Windows Media Player 11 but I keep getting this message;

"Unsupported operating system"

"Please visit windows update to download the rollup update 2 for windows xp media centre edition 2005"

But the update refuses to install.

Any ideas?

wmp11 is only for xp sp2 and is not for mce2005....

Apparently once the roll up is installed WMP11 can be installed, it's just a case of getting around the roll up issue?
