I heard that there were many ways to make the Windows XP SP2 Genuine....But I'm using Windows Server 2003. Now I want to update it to Service Pack 1. So I downloaded the Service Pack 1 from Microsoft Downloads Center, but when I installed it, an error appeared said that my Windows is not a legal version.

So I want to know that is there a way to make the Windows Server 2003 Genuine ???

Other than stating the obvious of buying a valid license, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you actually have a valid license purchased from your server hardware vendor, from a reseller, or from Microsoft directly...

If you've purchased a valid license, you should call Microsoft and get it resolved. If you are unsure of the validity of the server install, it does sound like you're being told that it is a priated version. Contacting the server vendor to get this resolved is also a good idea.

If it's a copy you downloaded off of the internet, or "borrowed" from somewhere else, you won't find any help with your query here - just warning you ahead of time if this is the case - from the forum rules:
