hector Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Hi there,I'm currently playing around with unattended installations and nlite. I think it's peachy. However, for it to be any use to me in my job as a techie guy who repairs people's computers, I really need to be able to create a master disc for use in any client's machine. Is there any way I can create an unattended install using my product key and then change it to theirs when it's done? Does this make sense?
0d14r3 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Use any invalid key to mount your nLite Windows. At install you will be asked for an valid serial, digit the serial of client and the install continues unattended.
hector Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 does it matter that mine is a Corporate disc and the client's may not be?
Netman66 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 It sure does.Retail and OEM builds use different media. Neither Key works on the other builds. You wouldn't be able to build an image from your VLP media and use anything but a Volume Key on it.The way I see it, you'll need 3 images - one for each build type.
