um... you can't update it with Service Pack 1 for .NET 1.1, as I just said. At least, Windows isn't aware you've done so even if the patch works.

To clarify in case clarification was needed, this addon does not replace notepad.exe, but adds an option to the context menu to open a given file with Notepad2. You can easily tell XP to open all TXT files with Notepad2, though.

After browsing without success for an addon of this notepad replacement, I've made my own. I've tested it in VMWare and it works a frickin' treat. Enjoy! Notepad2 [RAPIDSHARE] P.S. Does anybody know how to test these without having to get all the way to the VMWare stage?

Hi! Thanks for the reply. It's much appreciated. The problem here is that I have used this nLited disc on two powerful computers (one a brand new Intel Core 2 Duo machine) and both exhibit the same thrashing around for the first five minutes after logging in, and then settle down and are really zippy! The disc is not fragmented so I am thinking it is an error with one of the addon packs I've added. I do need to replace the version of Reader I am using with 8 - but other than that I am at a loss as to know what to do. I would also like to replace the version of iTunes I used because when Apple tried to update it (reported to have worked) it now won't open at all. Any further ideas? I can't turn off drive indexing because I don't have the option or text at all to do so.

Hi! I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer an explanation or a way of discovering why my computer's hard disk goes mad for about three minutes post-boot up on an nLited XP disc? In Windows Task Manager the 'System Idle Process' is at 98% CPU usage or thereabouts and remains there during and after the blitz. I could post my INI boot config file? Thanks!

Hi, Two of my nLite created discs, on two seperate computers, have hung at 33% at the installing devices stage. If I then force reboot, the installer is able to pick up where it left off, only this time complete. I wonder if this is because I have a Mac formatted external HDD plugged in via FireWire? Any thoughts? Cheers

So is the consensus here that it's messy to try to slipstream anything past Office 2003 SP2 because sometimes internet update sites don't recognise you've actually got the hotfixes due to a flawed checking method?

This is a real shame - can this not be used to update Office 2003?
