xp setup error

Featured Replies

hi! i've created a xp cd using nlite and i integrated the latest ryanvm pack 2.1.4

and also integrated driverpack (cpu, mass storage, lan, chipset) only and set the text mode of mass storage.

i've booted it up and after xp has loaded all drivers - - - starting windows part should be,

it shows up with a BSOD error:

STOP : 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8080709A, 0xF78DA300, 0xF78D9FFC)

i've already searched but still no good. i've tried loading an untouched xp and all went fine.

i'm using Pentium D 945, 2GB corsair ddr2 533, intel d965ry, 2 x 80gb maxtor hd, lg dvdram.

could it be the driverpack or is it with ryanvm's pack?

have you tryed it without them in there

if you get no errors

than add one of the two packs and try again and see if that works or not

if its works than add the other one and see if you get the same old error

if you get the error with the one pack added than that one is the problem but to be on the safe side try adding the other one to a clean copy of the windows files with the same settings :)

arr

i hope you can work out what im getting to there :)

hi angel0104! kabayan :) though it sounds tedious, eliminating the possibilities via creation of new builds (with & without your additions) & testing in either vmware or virtual pc is the way to go ...

ei! i've been testing them using vmware, but even before vmware starts the setup, a message would appear saying that a program has stopped the processor. i've tried using the xp cd i made to other pc and all of them works. can it be the hardware?

ei! it is not safe to conclude yet with less # of tests ... perhaps, you can try removing less components (specifically leaving hardware & driver support intact 1st) & adding no addons/silent installers ... try attaching your last_session.ini too ;)
