nitroshift
You mean you want to use your xp machine as a DHCP server?
KinetiK
No, what i mean is i dont want windows to configure my network settings for DHCP, if theres alternative software for this area then i wouldnt resist to use it .
HyperHacker
You should probably reinstall Windows. Whether you like the built in DCHP client is one thing, but if it's not working, then there's probably something wrong with the system.
Plamdi
I have to agree, replacing internal windows components is usually not a good idea. Microsoft knows how their OS works better than anyone else, so replacing the internal DCHP is really not a good idea.

kocoman
I am searching for a dhcp client for windows that will only REPORT back what the dhcp server says, and NOT change the ip.
nitroshift
You can see what the DHCP server says by looking at the IP address you are given. DHCP servers don't communicate with clients in other ways but assign IP addresses.
