cinali Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I have problem with sound card because when I test my 5+1 speakers front speakers work as rear speakers and rear speakers as front and no sound from center and subwoofer. Please help.
Agrezar Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Have you tryed installing the drivers from the Creative site? Have you checked that all the jacks are in teh appropriate spots?http://ccftp.creative.com/manualdn/Drivers...B_2_12_0002.exeTry these drivers.
Access Denied Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 The drivers from Creative that say Vista on them break the 5.1 down to 2.1 sound with nothing from the rear speakers.
Bigbrit Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 The article at the following site may be of interest.http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=39403
Access Denied Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Which is why I will never again purchase a Creative product. I got burned and I learned. I am using the last card they will ever sell to me.
rsrch Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 However, expect to pay some cash for the privilege - Labs dubs the offering as a 'low-cost upgrade' to Audigy owners. That sucks
kartel Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 (edited) Creative are very unsatisfactory, I have a SB Live 5.1 and I guess its a older card but I had a Yamaha Ds-xg card that worked great but there's no drivers for that either.I don't know if I need my desktop speakers to sound like DR. Dre's sound studio, I just want the **** thing to work.I still got a unfinished, cracked out tone section and no "what you hear" options.I am also stuck using a 2002 driver because the one released for my APU sound like S@#*.Seriously, I thought my card was gonna explode, and I got a BSOD.What about those turtle beach guys I thought they were good......... nightthief Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Instead of using Creative's drivers, give the kX driver set a try. This is an open-source, professional-quality sound driver which works with the entire Audigy line but provides far higher quality audio output than Creative's own drivers do. Moreover, the driver is fully Vista compatable. It's only downside is that it doesn't support EAX, which is really irrelevant since Vista doesn't support it anyway.Latest Version: http://download.kxproject.lugosoft.com/dow...v3538m-full.exeSuport Forum: http://www.driverheaven.net/kx-project-aud...-support-forum/

Oh well. I'll stick with 4.1 for now I guess. Thanks all the same.
