Jazkal Posted November 30, 2006 Author Posted November 30, 2006 That is strange, I installed it on 3 different systems from my C drive. Never saw anything like that message. Where were your source files located when you ran the install?
b.a Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I used IsoBuster to see the .img file you can find it here with instructionshttp://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/install/
cazzman Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 grr, i downloaded the WAIK and then learnt that to install the BDD i need to download the BDD cab file, which is just Windows PE + some other applications. Do i have to download the cab file now as well?
HwagPo Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 can we use this vista PE version to do unattended install of WindowsXP?
Jazkal Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 can we use this vista PE version to do unattended install of WindowsXP?Yes
fsfikke Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) Well, needless to say, I did the same thing. While installing WAIK, halfway through, it asked me to insert the CD??!! This shouldn't need to be installed from a CD.I got the same problem here on my XP SP2 machine, my virtual Vista install has the same problem :/Edit:Nice, I found a way to make it work You have to copy the WAIKX86.MSI (or the 64bit version) and the WINPE.CAB to your HD. Then run the MSI. Thats it Edited February 8, 2007 by fsfikke
Triel Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I am not sure if you have noticed but all of your links are broken now.
Jazkal Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 I am not sure if you have noticed but all of your links are broken now.Yes, I just checked and it looks like they may be releasing a newer "fixed" version. I will update the links when the new download webpage is released. The first link in the first post of this thread still works if you need to download the whole thing.
Jazkal Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 Updated the first post with the newest download page with the WAIK Final release, updated today.
zedox Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 could someone update the link on first post... seems to point to reference documents not WinPE2.0 insatllation, as the post states...
