just_laze Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Hello,I have a US version of Windows, can i delete the Language folder, will my answer file still set everything to English (UK) without it?Regards, laze.
cluberti Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 The LANG folder contains non-English languages (like Chinese, Arabic, Korean, etc). If you don't plan on using those, you can delete the LANG folder.
just_laze Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Hi cluberti,Thank you for a quick response!laze.
Sonic Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I have keep it for reinstallation (of an Acer system), I had some missing files errors if I havn"t the folder. I don't why ... perhaps acer sysprep bug ...
cluberti Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I've actually had trouble installing the recovery console without the folder, but I'm not sure why that is either.
Kamus Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I have Windows XP Pro SP2 in Spanish and I delete the LANG folder in my installation but now I have problems to configure the regional settings to Spanish Mexico, is Spanish España the keyboard setting and others things.now I have to put the Original Cd when I change this, the better thing that you can do is to use the Nlite for delete the Lenguages and Keyboards that you don't use and configure your answer file to your preferences.Bad English Sorry !!!
