LLXX Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 The original filename is "98DDK.EXE" and it is approximately 25Mb. If you do some Searching on the internet you will definitely find it.It used to be at http://download.microsoft.com/download/win...EN-US/98DDK.EXE but I suppose M$ removed it immediately after the end of 9x support.

LLXX Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 MSDN Version is about 45 MB (contains also symbols) and the file name is WIN98DDK.EXE.Symbols for what version of the files?
Petr Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) MSDN Version is about 45 MB (contains also symbols) and the file name is WIN98DDK.EXE.Symbols for what version of the files?Both FE and SE, both debug and retail versions.Windows 98 Debug Binaries and Symbols-------------------------------------The Windows 98 DDK ships with a number of debug versions of coreWindows 98 system components and drivers. These binaries are intendedto aid in testing and debugging drivers developed with the Windows 98DDK.Below is a list of the binaries currently shipped with the Windows 98DDK, and the directory each binary needs to be copied to for it to beloaded by Windows 98. The debug symbol files are also included, theyhave the same base name ending with the extension .SYM. Please referto the documentation for the WDEB98 system debugger for information onhow to use the specific debugging features of each debug binary.NOTE: There is a version dependence between VWIN32.VXD, KERNEL32.DLL,and KRNL386.EXE. You must run with either all retail versions ofthese binaries or all debug versions. Mixing retail and debugversions of these binaries will result in Windows 98 hanging orfaulting during boot.System VxDs-----------VMM.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VWIN32.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VPICD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VXDLDR.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VDMAD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32DEBUGCMD.VXD \windows\system (loaded statically via system.ini entry)System DLLs-----------GDI.EXE \windows\systemKRNL386.EXE \windows\systemUSER.EXE \windows\systemGDI32.DLL \windows\systemKERNEL32.DLL \windows\systemMAPI32.DLL \windows\systemUSER32.DLL \windows\systemSETUPX.DLL \windows\systemWDM---NTKERN.VXD \windows\system\vmm32WMIDRV.SYS \windows\system32\driversPnP---CONFIGMG.VXD \windows\system\vmm32PCI.VXD \windows\systemISAPNP.VXD \windows\systemBIOS.VXD \windows\systemEISA.VXD \windows\system1394----1394BUS.SYS \windows\system32\driversTILYNX.SYS \windows\system32\driversOHCI1394.SYS \windows\system32\driversAHA899X.SYS \windows\system32\driversWDM Streaming (WDM Audio, Video Capture, DVD, etc.)---------------------------------------------------STREAM.SYS \windows\system32\driversKSCLOCKF.AX \windows\systemKSDATA.AX \windows\systemKSINTERF.AX \windows\systemKSPROXY.AX \windows\systemKSYPINTF.AX \windows\systemKS.SYS \windows\system32\driversMSKSSRV.SYS \windows\system32\driversKSUSER.DLL \windows\systemUSB---OPENHCI.SYS \windows\system32\driversUHCD.SYS \windows\system32\driversUSBD.SYS \windows\system32\driversUSBDIAG.SYS \windows\system32\driversUSBHUB.SYS \windows\system32\driversOnNow/ACPI----------ACPI.SYS \windows\systemBATTC.SYS \windows\systemCMBATT.SYS \windows\systemCOMPBATT.SYS \windows\systemEC.SYS \windows\systemStill Image-----------USBSCAN.SYS \windows\system32\driversMultimedia----------SYSAUDIO.SYS \windows\system32\driversUSBAUDIO.SYS \windows\system32\driversWDMAUD.SYS \windows\system32\driversMMDEVLDR.VXD \windows\systemMMCI.DLL \windows\systemMIDIMAP.DRV \windows\systemMMSOUND.DRV \windows\systemWDMAUD.DRV \windows\system (symbol file is named wdmdrv.sym)MMSYSTEM.DLL \windows\systemMSACM.DLL \windows\systemMSACM32.DLL \windows\systemWINMM.DLL \windows\systemStorage-------CDTSD.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysCDVSD.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysDISKTSD.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysDISKVSD.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysIOS.VXD \windows\system\vmm32RMM.PDR \windows\system\iosubsysSCSIPORT.PDR \windows\system\iosubsysVFAT.VXD \windows\system\vmm32CDFS.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysVOLTRACK.VXD \windows\system\iosubsysIFSMGR.VXD \windows\system\vmm32HID---HIDCLASS.SYS \windows\system32\driversHIDPARSE.SYS \windows\system32\driversHIDUSB.SYS \windows\system32\driversMOUHID.VXD \windows\systemJOYHID.VXD \windows\systemKBDHID.VXD \windows\systemVKD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VJOYD.VXD \windows\systemHID.DLL \windows\systemMMHID.DLL \windows\systemVMOUSE.VXD \windows\system\vmm32Display-------VDD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VFLATD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32DIBENG.DLL \windows\systemNetworking----------NDISWAN.VXD \windows\systemPPPMAC.VXD \windows\systemVDHCP.386 \windows\systemVIP.386 \windows\systemVNBT.386 \windows\systemVTCP.386 \windows\systemVTDI.386 \windows\systemVUDP.386 \windows\systemNDIS.VXD \windows\systemNETDI.DLL \windows\systemWAN.TSP \windows\systemPCMCIA/CardBus--------------SOCKETSV.VXD \windows\systemCBSS.VXD \windows\systemPCCARD.VXD \windows\systemComm----VCD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VCOMM.VXD \windows\system\vmm32VPD.VXD \windows\system\vmm32SERENUM.VXD \windows\systemUNIMODEM.VXD \windows\systemIRCOMM.VXD \windows\systemIRENUM.VXD \windows\systemIRLAMP.VXD \windows\systemIRLAPFRM.VXD \windows\systemLPTENUM.VXD \windows\systemTAPI.DLL \windows\systemVideo Capture-------------MSVFW32.DLL \windows\systemMSVIDEO.DLL \windows\systemVFWWDM32.SYS \windows\system32\driversVFWWDM.DRV \windows\systemPen---PKPD.DLL \windows\systemPKPD32.DLL \windows\systemPrinting--------SPOOLSS.DLL \windows\systemUNIDRV.DLL \windows\systemDIBENG.DLL \windows\systemand The debug files found here are for use with Windows 98 Second Edition (SE).This is a "delta" or change, from Windows 98.
