No post boot

Hi all, i've just bought an A-bit va-10 mainboard took all the proper precautions but when i switch it on, theres nothing there i have tried 2 different psu's a 300W & a 500W still nothing.

Tried to get it to boot with just the gfx card and ram but still nothing.

The reason why i bought this mobo is because my sons original system would boot up then shutdown as it got to the windows bootscreen.

Im starting to think its a bad cpu i don't think its the ram because i tried the a-bit with nothing on except the cpu *all the power cables are properly seated and connected.

Anyone got any ideas?.

I would try with a different CPU to narrow down the problem.
