taltamir
I recently reformatted and now I have to tell the computer to shutdown or restart twice for it to do it. There is no noticeable action the first time around...Now this is ALWAYS the case, sometimes it works the first time (rarely). The odd thing is that I barely have anything installed so there is little that could have done that...If this is completely unheard of for nlite, then let me know and i will try reinstalling again, maybe it was a fluke and not a problem with nlite. If someone knows of it, a fix is welcome...[Main]Env = 1.2 RC - 2.0.50727.42.Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2Target = Windows XP Professional SP:2 - 2180 - English (United States)[Tasks]Remove ComponentsUnattended SetupTweaksCreate a Bootable ISOOptions[Components];# Applications #Accessibility Options;# Multimedia #Windows Sounds;# Network #Windows Messenger;# Operating System Options #Desktop Cleanup WizardSearch AssistantSecurity CenterShell Media HandlerTour;# Services #MessengerSystem Restore Service;# Directories #DOCSSUPPORTVALUEADD;# Compatibility #Compat01Compat02Compat06[KeepFiles]msconfig.exe[RemoveFiles]clock.avi[Options]ClassicSetupBlackSetupBackOemBrandingProfilesDir = "%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings"TargetPath = "WINDOWS"temp_dir = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp[Patches]TcpIp = 1000DoSFC[services2][Tweaks]Boot and Shutdown-Status Messages-ExtendedExplorer-Add 'Command Prompt' to folder context menuExplorer-Advanced Search: preconfigure optionsExplorer-Change Explorer Folder View to: detailsExplorer-Classic Control PanelExplorer-Disable Beep on errorsExplorer-Disable Prefix: Shortcut toExplorer-Display the contents of system foldersExplorer-Restore previous folder windows at logon-EnabledExplorer-Show Drive Letters in front of Drive NamesExplorer-Show extensions of known file-typesExplorer-Show Full Path in Address and in Title-BarExplorer-Show hidden and system filesExplorer-Show Map Network Drives buttons in Explorer barExplorer-Show Statusbar in all windowsInternet Explorer-Disable information bar when popup is blockedInternet Explorer-Disable Market Place bookmarkInternet Explorer-Disable Media Player 6.4 created bookmarksInternet Explorer-Disable Outlook Express link creationInternet Explorer-Disable sound when popup is blockedInternet Explorer-Set Homepage-about:blankInternet Explorer-Set Internet Explorer to accept 10 connects at a timeMy Computer-Add Administrative ToolsMy Computer-Add Control PanelMy Computer-Add Device Manager to Context MenuMy Computer-Add Fonts FolderMy Computer-Add My Network PlacesMy Computer-Add Network ConnectionsMy Computer-Add Printers and FaxesMy Computer-Add Scheduled TasksMy Computer-Add Services to Context MenuMy Computer-Add Software to Context MenuMy Computer-Remove Shared DocumentsNetwork-Disable administrative sharesPerformance-Disable Optimize harddisk when idlePerformance-Disable Warn on low disk spacePerformance-Do not cache thumbnailsPrivacy-Disable Error ReportingPrivacy-Remove AlexaStart Menu-Add Administrative Tools menuStart Menu-Clear most recently opened documents list on logoffStart Menu-Control Panel-Display as a linkStart Menu-Disable and Remove Documents List from Start MenuStart Menu-Disable Highlight newly installed programsStart Menu-Disable popup on first bootStart Menu-Do not use Personalized MenusStart Menu-Remove Search the Internet from SearchStart Menu-Remove Set Program Access and DefaultsStart Menu-Remove Windows Catalog shortcutStart Menu-Remove Windows Update shortcutVisual Effects-Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing-DisableVisual Effects-Combo box animation-DisableVisual Effects-Cursor shadow-DisableVisual Effects-Fade out selection-DisableVisual Effects-Gradient captions in windows-EnableVisual Effects-Keyboard shortcut underline-EnableVisual Effects-Menu animation-DisableVisual Effects-Menu shadows-DisableVisual Effects-Menu style-NormalVisual Effects-Show translucent selection rectangle-EnableVisual Effects-Show window contents while dragging-EnableVisual Effects-Slide taskbar buttons-DisableVisual Effects-Smooth edges of screen fonts-ClearTypeVisual Effects-Smooth-scroll list boxes-EnableVisual Effects-Tooltip animation-DisableVisual Effects-Use a background image for each folder type-EnableVisual Effects-Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop-EnableVisual Effects-Use visual styles on windows and buttons-DisableWindows Media Player-Accept Privacy StatementWindows Media Player-Disable all streaming protocolsWindows Media Player-Disable auto-add music to libraryWindows Media Player-Disable automatic codec downloadWindows Media Player-Disable metadata retrievalWindows Media Player-Disable MRUWindows Media Player-Disable silent acqusitionWindows Media Player-Disable starting with Media GuideWindows Media Player-Do not show anchor in DesignmodeWindows Media Player-Enhanced privacy settingsWindows Media Player-No visualizationWindows Media Player-Optimize fullscreen mode behaviorWindows Media Player-Remove all context menu entriesWindows Media Player-Zoom video to windowsize[unattended]DisableOemComputerType = AutomaticHibernationNoAutoLogon = AdministratorFirewallOffMaximumDataStorePercentOfDisk = 12RestorePointLife = 30DefaultThemesOffDefaultStartPanelOffDesktopTheme = Windows Classic|Windows Classic stye|NormalAutoUpdates = 4AutoUDay = 5AutoUHour = 15ProgFilesPath = "C:\Program Files"[GuiRunOnce][Drivers][Hotfixes]Any idea what could have done it or how to fix this? Ponch
Probably a service or program that is not stopping. Check your task manager.
k3nny
Maybe some task shuts down very long and u have the time to press the button twice? (As Ponch said)
taltamir
Its something that terminates when I tell windows to shut down, but abords the shutdown process. I can tell it aborts the shutdown process because nothing else shuts down, and I can run new programs. (which you cannot do while windows is shutting down). I also tried waiting ALOT of time and it didnt help...It always works the second time I tell windows to shutdown (i dont press the physical button, i use the shutdown option in the start menu).
