malcolmx Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) I've integrated theme in nLite RC, but something screws up, and after installing there's old stock theme from win98'. it seems that Themes service is defaultly disabled, how can I enable it?I've set everything as it should be in unattended section, so i dunno know what's going on... I've set Luna theme to be removed, maybe I sholudn't do this while integrating new themes? Edited October 16, 2006 by malcolmx

malcolmx Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 It's in polish, so I don't think it may help you...
bledd Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 did you set the themes service for removal?can you enable it and start it?
malcolmx Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) I didn't remove it. I can enable it. Actually I'm doing modification all over again, but this time I've set themes service in nLite on automatic, instead of default. Maybe it will help..EDIT: No use, still doesn't work can it be because of making ISO in diffrent version of nLite? Edited October 16, 2006 by malcolmx
malcolmx Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) Of course, but I just realised that this win supports unsigned themes defaultly... I dunno know how is that possible, but I remember that I had problems with StyleXP application since my first nLited Xp...Maybe I should get other Win?? Win I have currently is WinXP Pro_pl OEM version. Edited October 16, 2006 by malcolmx
rehbar Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 you should just copy uxthem.dll file by using $oem$ folder. When installtion of x complate then after first boot complate restart your pc then apply your desired themes manualy. It will apply.
malcolmx Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 you should just copy uxthem.dll file by using $oem$ folder. How to do this?
bledd Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 no need to do that if you're using nlite, ignore that..try again using a clean windows disc, slipstream sp2and apply the patch
rehbar Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 use this by creating folder $OEM$, $$, system32 and place it parallel to i386(win installtion folder) folder and place uxthem.dll file in it. folders should placed as i below show.$oem$\$$\system32\uxtheme.dll First creat $oem$ then creat $$ floder in side $oem$ folder then create system32 folder in $$ folder and then place uxtheme.dll in system32 folder. Will it help full answer ?As i know in nlite RC2 or beta it dos't patch uxthem.dll file correctly.I have too same problem ...
malcolmx Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 As i know in nlite RC2 or beta it dos't patch uxthem.dll file correctly.I have too same problem ...So maybe I sholud use nLite 1.0.1 first, aply uxtheme patch and then integrate theme with RC2 ?
nuhi Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Why are you talking about the UXtheme patch? It works and forget about it, recopy your clean Windows, use nlite rc1.2 don't use services page, integrate few themes and choose one.Build ISO, test in Vmware or virtualpc.Oh and don't remove Shell Services.
