adunphy
Im not sure why, but Media player 10 slipstreaming has not been working for me lately. I dont know what I changed, but Im using the latest hfslip script and putting mp10setup.exe in the HF folder, but when I run it after installing Windows XP Pro, I click next, next, finish and it throws an error saying that Media player was not installed properly and asks me to go to the media player site to reinstall. I know this worked fine in the past for me, I even tried re-downloading mp10setup.exe just incase it was corrupt but no luck. Anyone else seeing this?I've attached my hfslip log if that helps.HFSLIP.zip Edited October 5, 2006 by adunphy
Kiki Burgh
hi! your attachment doesn't seem to contain anything ... but putting mp10 in HF has always worked for me ... i just am not sure if the new test releases support this still but have you tried moving it to HFSVCPACK_SW to see how it affects your build? Tomcat76
Please use the latest test release. The earlier ones may have contained errors.
adunphy
I was using 60925a and yes, I did try putting it in the HFSVCPACK_SW folder and I get the same results. Its strange because I dont see any errors during slipstream process nor install at T-13. I will try the latest version again, but I even tried one fo the 5xxxx version and this happened. Is there another HF I have in my hotfixes that is coliding with it perhaps?HFSLIP Version - 60925aHFSLIP Path - C:\Documents and Settings\Aaron\Desktop\WinXp_SP2_10012006\OS in SOURCESS - XP SP2 EnglishDRIVER.CAB UpdatedCD Install Path - Default===============================================================================Files in your FIX folder:winnt.sifFiles in your HF folder:HMTCDWizard_enu.exeMP10Setup.exeWindows-KB890830-V1.11-ENU.exeWindows-KB890830-V1.20.exeWindows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ENU.exeWindows-KB913433-x86-ENU.exeWindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exeWindowsMedia-KB891122-x86-ENU.exeWindowsMedia-KB911564-x86-ENU.exewindowsmedia10-kb902344-x86-intl.exeWindowsMedia9-KB917734-x86-ENU.exeWindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exeWindowsXP-KB873339-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB885250-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB885835-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB885836-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB886185-x86-enu.exeWindowsXP-KB887472-x86-enu.exeWindowsXP-KB887742-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB887797-x86-enu.exeWindowsXP-KB888113-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB888302-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB890046-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB890859-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB891781-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB893066-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB893756-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB894391-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896358-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896422-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896423-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896424-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896428-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896688-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB899587-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB899589-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB899591-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB900725-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB900930-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB901017-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB901214-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB902400-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB904706-DX9-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB904942-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB905414-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB905749-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB905915-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB908519-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB908531-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB910437-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB911280-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB911562-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB911567-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB911927-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB912919-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB913580-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB914388-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB914389-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB916281-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB916595-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB917159-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB917344-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB917422-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB917953-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB918439-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB918899-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB919007-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB920214-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB920670-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB920683-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB920685-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB920872-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB921398-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB921883-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB922582-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB922616-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB925486-x86-ENU.exewmcsetup.exewmfdist95.exeFiles in your HFCABS folder:LegitCheckControl.cabswflash.cabFiles in your HFSVCPACK folder:00dNET11.exe00dNET20.exeEntries_foxy_dotNET.iniFiles in your HFSVCPACK_SW folder:Files in your HFTOOLS folder:BOOT.BINCDIMAGE.EXE
Super-Magician
Hmmm...there doesn't seem to be a much of a problem. Try removing the duplicate KB890830 that you have.Oh, wait, you seem to have the wrong version of a few hotfixes. Compare your folder to Tomcat's list (in his sig).I believe your problems include, but are not limited to, the following:1. You have the DX9 version of KB904706 (should be v2).2. You are using KB917734 for WMP9 (should be WMP10).3. You are including KB891122, which HFSLIP cannot slipstream - it simply contains wmfdist95, which you have already extracted, so remove it.There may be others that I haven't noticed. Also, as a precaution, try comparing your checksums with my list in this forum. And one more thing - remove the spaces and underscores in your path.
