PhantasyStar Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Hi guys. I am getting this problem when trying to install my Office XP on my Windows XP Professional machine. It cant find some Office1.cab file. Then it makes me hit Retry, which doesnt work then I have to choose disable. Can anyone help me?
b0r3d Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Is the .cab file on the CD?If it is, is it currupt?If not, are you able to browse for it, and tell the installer where it is?

PhantasyStar Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 Also....I had someone tell me to install this to my desktp and I did. The other XP Office Programs worked except Outlook. It mad all these folders on my desktop.
b0r3d Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 just use windows search engine to search for all .cab files on your Office cd. If its not there, thats your problem
Aaron Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Office1.cab is usually attributed to be Hidden. Check that its on the CD (enabling 'show hidden files and folders' beforehand). If not, then it appears Office1.cab was left out when you (or someone else) burned it to CD.
