Windows 2003 & Radeon 9500

:) As soon as I install any video driver, upon reboot, I get a bsd with "ati2dvag.dll" and "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

I've tried different video drivers, with DX9, and w/o DX9.

I was using Windows XP with all the same components, so I know that the hardware is good.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick reply.

It was already enabled in the "Troubleshoot" section. As far as DirectX goes, it does not give me the option--neither before installing DX9, nor after installing DX9. They're greyed out.

I figured it out. After installing the drivers and rebooting, I have to hit F8 and select the "Enable VGA Mode". This gets me past where it blue-screened and into Windows. From there I go into "Troubleshoot" and move the Acceleration all the way to the right. Then, I reboot normally and all is well.

For whatever reason, before installing the vid drivers, the Acceleration was already all the way to the right, but it gets turned down after installing the vid drivers & rebooting. Since it's down, upon reboot Windows blue screens and I was screwed. The "Enable VGA Mode" saved me on reboot, and allowed me to make the change.

By the way, I never had to change any DX settings during the entire process--only the Accelerator bar in Troubleshooting needed to be changed.
