I figured it out. After installing the drivers and rebooting, I have to hit F8 and select the "Enable VGA Mode". This gets me past where it blue-screened and into Windows. From there I go into "Troubleshoot" and move the Acceleration all the way to the right. Then, I reboot normally and all is well. For whatever reason, before installing the vid drivers, the Acceleration was already all the way to the right, but it gets turned down after installing the vid drivers & rebooting. Since it's down, upon reboot Windows blue screens and I was screwed. The "Enable VGA Mode" saved me on reboot, and allowed me to make the change. By the way, I never had to change any DX settings during the entire process--only the Accelerator bar in Troubleshooting needed to be changed.
