djgaston Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I have three computers. One is "Danny" on Windows 2000, sharing C and D drives. Two is "Clint" on Windows 2000, sharing C drive. Three is "DJ" on Windows XP Pro sharing a couple folders. With "DJ" I can log in to "Clint," but I cannot log in to "Danny." "Clint" can log in to "Danny" flawlessly. "Clint" can log in to "DJ" and print on DJ's printer. WTF? The error I keep getting when trying to access "Danny" with "DJ" is "\\Danny is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact that administrator of this server to find out if you have the access permissions. The network path was not found." I have "Danny" setup so that anyone can login with a user name and password, exactly the same way "Clint" is setup, but it's not working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
djgaston Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Can Danny access DJ?Yes, I forgot to mention that.Figured out the problem, and I'm too embarassed to even admit it. Forgot about BlackIce being installed on Danny; it was blocking the new connection from DJ but it had been setup over a year ago to accept the connection from Clint. It's all working great now!
