Hide Critical Updates

Featured Replies

I have hidden the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification from the Critical Updates list. I now want to hide this update in my Unattended CD.

Does anyone know where this setting is stored?

I looked in the registry for KB905474, I have gone thru Internet Explorer and I have no clue as to where this information is stored.

%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb

Thanks Ryan, I thought it would be in a some catalogue some place. Is there any way to edit this file?

Okay, the new KB905474 no longer stores the hidden critical updates in the software distribution folder.

Anyone have an idea where this is stored?

Ryan?

Hey,

Would you be entirely against integrating KB905474? I know it's not a solution, more of a workaround and while I'm not an avid user of nLite, I do use it to integrate the odd hotfix including KB905474 and it does a good job.

laze.
