I'm getting VERY DESPERATE for broadband now, you should see what I have queued up in edonkey!!

Edonkey sux, you probably wouldnt get it any faster as its so slow.

Yes, you are right, edonkey would sux when *not* used properly.

1. You need an up-to-date server.met file with a listing of servers. Maurice provides this (info at sharereactor.com) If you download the edonkey client and expect to connect, then you will fail, because the servers are out of date! This is where Maurice's Server.met auto-updater utility comes in handy, and integrates into edonkey.

2. Downloading something that's not well spread will be very hard to download, and slow too, since there are not a lot of users with the file who can upload to you. The more files that are well spread, the more uploads that are possible, and the more speed that you can download at. Sharereactor.com helps to do this, and it works.

edonkey sux i dont care even on dial up pubs are better its where u see stuff 1st and u get it alot fast grr ...i still use edonkey to get old games though but to get newer stuff pubs are better.

man AaronXP you should work for edonkey considering you support and talk about how good it is. I honestly like I said before have the updated file so when I start edonkey it gets the lastest servers, but again I have had my pc on now almost 5 days and have only completed like 2 maybe 3 movies.I have at least 10 movies looking for connections and under those 10 movies the amount of people that its sharing with is extremely large. And I have broadband and it still sucks. I tried out a app called Direct Connect and in the last 8 hours I have gotten 6 movies. If you share alot you get access to hubs that are ran off T1 and T3 lines. Its a great app by far, but be warned you share nothin you wont get nothin. Peace BRO!!!!!!!:spaced

Check this for speed, I think FXPing between FTPs is slightly faster than edonkey for distributing warez ... anyway without that you wouldn’t have any warez in the first place at edonkey.

i dont know what that guys connection speed is but... its **** fast! most of his stuff is going at 25KB/sec or more! over 10 files doing that speed... :nerves

erm but thats upload its all good using a file sharing program but only if others are sharing

Others *are* sharing, its forced sharing on the file you're downloading.
