WinXP Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Reason we do not have to exclude archive SAM of Windows XP?
Takeshi Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Presumably English is not your mother tongue (it's not mine either) but it'd help to express yourself clearly as far as possible, otherwise people will have difficulties trying to help you, as was the case in your other post.
WinXP Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 I am of Brazil, I do not have a total good English. My question is,because we cannot exclude archive SAM of Windows XP.
WinXP Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Almost this, many people say that we can't exclude this archive thatcan give to problems when initiating the Windows.
Takeshi Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 You cannot delete the SAM in XP. I once tried as an experiment to rename the SAM with WinPE and Windows XP will NOT logon. Rename it back and it's fine.(People still living in the past, using Win98 would advise deleting the SAM when you forget the password.)
